Privacy Policy
This policy describes how NewWay Digital ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the carrierbasis.com website (the "Site") and the CarrierBasis carrier vetting service (the "Service"). Customers' use of the Service is also governed by their service agreements with us; where an agreement and this policy differ, the agreement controls for that customer.
Information we collect
On the Site:
- Usage analytics via Google Analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information), collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Information you send us directly, such as your name and email address when you contact us or request a walkthrough.
In the Service:
- Account information: names, business email addresses, and authentication credentials of a customer's authorized users.
- Customer content: carrier, load, and shipment information a customer's systems or team provide — including TMS data, uploaded documents such as insurance certificates and monitoring reports, and the reviews, comments, and decisions the customer's users record.
- Public records: information the Service retrieves from public sources, principally FMCSA records concerning motor carriers.
- Service logs and usage information used for security, reliability, and support.
How we use information
- To provide, secure, and support the Site and the Service — including producing the compliance records the Service exists to create.
- To communicate with you about your inquiries, your account, and the Service.
- To understand and improve how the Site and Service are used.
- To comply with law and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information or customer content, and we do not use customer content to advertise to anyone.
Service providers
We use third-party providers to operate the Site and Service — cloud hosting, database and file storage, AI processing, and analytics. These providers process information on our behalf under their own contractual and security commitments; the certifications of our infrastructure providers are described on our Security page. We share information with them only as needed to run the Site and Service.
Retention
Compliance records created by the Service are designed to be durable, tamper-evident business records; they are retained for the customer they belong to in accordance with the customer's agreement and instructions. Site inquiry information is kept as long as needed to respond and maintain our records. We may retain information as required by law.
Your choices and rights
- You can control cookies through your browser and opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information about you. To make a request, contact us at contact@workanewway.com. For information held in a customer's Service account, we may direct your request to that customer, who controls that data.
Security
We describe our security practices, and the certifications held by the infrastructure the Service is hosted on, at carrierbasis.com/security.
Children
The Site and Service are for business use and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes affecting Service customers will be communicated to them.
